Who Leads Care in La Mesa
Dr. Sanjai Mathew Thankachen, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist, serves as Medical Director and manages medication decisions across both clinical lanes. Matthew Beck is Program Director and Clinical Director. Jose Feliciano, AMFT, is Lead Therapist, with behavioral health technician support in the building daily.
How the La Mesa Team Is Structured
As of July 2026 the programs are staffed at two clinicians for every five clients, a ratio built so a clinician notices a bad week rather than hearing about it later. The clinicians who run your groups in day treatment are the same team you step down with, so nothing restarts at each transition.
