Golden Coast Rehab is an outpatient mental health and addiction treatment center at 8809 La Mesa Blvd., Suite 102, La Mesa, CA 91942. This is our only facility. Every program described anywhere on this site is delivered in this building — there are no satellite clinics.
La Mesa sits in San Diego County's East County, just off Interstate 8 near its junction with State Route 125, which is the practical reason clients reach us comfortably from most of the county.
Finding us and parking
We are on La Mesa Boulevard, the main east–west street through the city and the spine of the La Mesa Village district. Suite 102 is in the building at 8809. If you are coming for a first appointment and cannot find the entrance, call (619) 313-6223 from the curb and someone will walk you in — that happens regularly and nobody minds.
Getting here by car
From Interstate 8, exit toward central La Mesa and follow the surface streets to La Mesa Boulevard. From the south and east, State Route 125 connects to I-8 within a couple of miles of the facility. From State Route 94, connect via SR-125 north.

Getting here without a car
The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System Orange Line trolley runs through La Mesa with a station at La Mesa Boulevard, connecting west to Lemon Grove, Encanto, and downtown San Diego, and east to the Grossmont Transit Center, where it meets the Green Line toward Santee and El Cajon. Several MTS bus routes also serve the boulevard.
If transportation is the thing standing between you and treatment, say so on the phone. It is one of the most common practical obstacles and it is worth solving out loud rather than quietly concluding that treatment is not possible.

Medi-Cal and cost
If you have Medi-Cal in San Diego County — any of the four managed care plans — treatment here can be covered at no cost to you, because specialty mental health and Drug Medi-Cal services are administered by San Diego County Behavioral Health Services rather than by your plan. See how Medi-Cal works here.
County resources and crisis help
The San Diego County Access and Crisis Line is the County's 24-hour front door for behavioral health, at 1-888-724-7240. It is free and confidential, and it can connect you to urgent help or to County providers whether or not you ever call us. The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is reachable by call or text at 988, and 911 is the right call if someone is in immediate danger.
